“When long-established European-based forging and machining company Pietro Rosa TBM decided it needed a footprint in North America, many options and states were considered. Key factors included: Connectivity and time differences to Europe, an established aerospace community, and access to a highly talented workforce. Discussions with the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) at the Paris Airshow in 2015 clinched the deal.

Since the acquisition of the 100,000 square foot facility in 2016 called New England Airfoil Products, we have learned firsthand that the decision was entirely correct. Our key factor—connectivity—now extends to those we now view as partners in our success: The DECD has lived up to its every promise, the Town of Farmington has welcomed us, and organizations such as the MetroHartford Alliance, Aerospace Component Manufacturers (ACM), and the World Affairs Council of Connecticut have given us the connections in the state and beyond that have eased our passage enormously into a community of professionals that are essential to business growth. All these ingredients have rendered a cocktail that has made our first venture into North America a rewarding and resounding success.”
