Simsbury, CT-based New England Toy has created a limited edition plush Dr. Fauci doll that replicates and honors Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. According to the toy company:
Dr. Anthony Fauci has quickly become one of the most respected and recognizable medical professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic. His calm demeanor as a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force has been a great comfort to all Americans.
New England Toy Founder Josh Livingston told The Hartford Courant he sees Dr. Fauci as a hero, saying, “I’m very inspired by him. I just love his no-nonsense approach and how he speaks the truth, whether it’s something you want to hear, or you don’t.”
For each toy sold, New England Toy will donate $5 to charitable organizations, including the Connecticut COVID-19 Charity Connection (4-CT) and the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Foundation’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund.
