Hartford Symphony Orchestra Presents Symphony in the Park this June

The HSO performs this free concert in the community bandshell at Hartford’s Bushnell Park

Hartford, CT (April 21, 2022) – The Hartford Symphony Orchestra celebrates the power of community and music with Symphony in the Park a free concert in Bushnell Park on Saturday, June 4, at 2 p.m. This concert features the musicians of the Hartford Symphony, Assistant Conductor, Adam Boyles, and the 2021 Young Artist Competition co-first place winner Tyler Tan, violin. Symphony in the Park brings together more than 55 HSO musicians performing a variety of music, including well-known favorites from the silver screen and Broadway stage, light classics, Americana, and celebratory selections from Latino and Black composers.

“This concert is an opportunity for community to come together, building pride in downtown Hartford, celebrating resilience in adapting to the pandemic, and rejoicing in the power of music to bring people together,” said Steve Collins, President & CEO of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra.

In case of inclement weather, this concert will be held at the same time and date in Mortensen Hall at the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts. The event will remain un-ticketed and free to the public.

HSO’s Symphony in the Park is presented by the Evelyn W. Preston Memorial Trust Fund Bank of America, NA, Trustee, The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, with generous support from The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, Gottfried & Somberg, Trinity College, and Travelers, Greater Hartford Arts Council, Gawlicki Family Foundation, The City of Hartford.
