For an organization to enjoy sustained success in the community, the roots it puts down must come from the people within it. Quest unites high-performing mid-career professionals from many different sectors — nonprofit, government, education, business — around the idea of growing stronger together through collaborative leadership and social responsibility.

A core component of the program is community engagement. Participants connect with the community to identify needs and form diverse task forces to address these needs. Since 1986, these task forces have developed projects related to children and youth, community and economic development, arts and culture, support for the homeless and more. The experience creates a process for self discovery and growth – Quest participants return to their organizations with stronger relational and leadership skills that they also apply to the communities in which they live and work.

“Leadership Greater Hartford’s 2020 Quest program was a true journey in leadership. While our program became largely virtual due to the Pandemic, the LGH team worked tirelessly to craft sessions and content that was engaging, creative and relevant. We were able to put our learning into action in real time. During this challenging time in our local and national landscape I can’t think of a better way to grow and stretch one’s leadership skills than with the LGH Quest program!”

More about Quest

Quest offers a unique, experiential approach to leadership training. Over the course of ten months, participants engage in workshops, field experiences, and individual coaching focused on advanced leadership practices.
