Your evening at The Goodwin will transport you back to the 1800’s as we tell the story of J.P. Morgan’s life — a man so bold that he was known by his peers as “Yes-or-No Morgan”. A prominent figure in American history, but also someone with deep ties to Hartford and the Goodwin Hotel. Take a journey with us as we celebrate the mystery and extravagance of J.P. We have thoughtfully transformed rooms in the hotel to be private dining rooms, all beds have been removed.
Throughout the course of your meal, clues and hidden secrets will reveal themselves to you. Please keep your findings hush-hush so we don’t spoil the fun for future guests.
This is a COVID-safe experience, following all state guidelines and recommendations.

What does my ticket price include?
All tickets include a 3-course Chef’s Dinner in a private dining room, the “Yes-or-No Morgan” Experience, and a Welcome Cocktail. Depending on which experience you purchased it may include a wine or cocktail package (see above).

How do we order our dinner or cocktails?
The experience has a set Chef’s menu, however, you will be sent an email to choose beef, chicken, fish, or vegetarian. You will also be asked to choose your cocktails, should you choose a cocktail package.

Can we order a la carte drinks from the Bar?
No. With keeping the experience largely contactless and as covid safe as possible, you must purchase your package in full prior to your reservation as your dining room will be stocked and ready for you. We will not have traditional bar or wait staff service.

What if I have food allergies?
You will receive a confirmation email requesting additional information about your preferences and allergies.

What Covid Safety Measures are being taken?
This experience will be almost completely contactless. There will be 2 deliveries to your dining room where items will appear on carts outside your door. There is only 1 seating in each dining room per night and all rooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized each day. Any props used in the rooms are also cleaned and/or replaced daily.
How long will this experience last?
There is no set time limit, but most dinners will last about 2 – 2.5 hours.

How many guests can fit in a dining room?
A maximum of 4 guests per dining room.

Is this experience Family Friendly?
With some of the content being a bit more on the mature side, we would recommend no children under the age of 13 or 14. Mr. Morgan, did have a few salacious secrets.

Where can I park?
Parking can be found on the street, as well as multiple lots and garages in a 1 block radius. Goodwin Garage, XL Center Garage, City Place Garage, LAZ lots. Hartford Parking Map
