The vertical transportation systems industry was created due to Otis Elevator Company’s invention of the world’s first safety elevator over 160 years ago. Its headquarters are based in Farmington, CT within the Hartford Region.
Otis Elevator Company recently won a large contract for Foxconn’s new factory in Wisconsin. Foxconn is the world’s largest electronics manufacturing group and produces the world’s most popular products including Apple devices and gaming consoles such as Xbox and PlayStation.
