Economic Development
The MetroHartford Alliance's economic development team brings together the expertise of its Economic Development Council, and the economic development leaders from the surrounding 34-towns of the metro Hartford region. The Council, consisting of more than 90 members from the business, government, education and health institutions who works to create strategies and implement initiatives that enable the region to compete regionally, nationally, and globally, and to sustain its position as a major place to grow business.
While the state of Connecticut does not have county government, today's strong emphasis on regionalism and the real benefits it brings to business attraction, expansion, retention and sustainable economic growth underscores the importance of the Alliance's role.
