Business Champions Awards Nomination

The 2008 Business Champions Awards will be given FOR REVENUE GROWTH, EMPLOYEE GROWTH OR BOTH.

Nominations must fulfill the following criteria to be considered for the awards:

  • Been in business for three full fiscal years
  • Experienced significant revenue growth from previous year (in excess of 10 percent)
  • Is a privately-held business or a stand-alone division of a privately-held company
  • Is a for-profit organization
  • Must be located in one of the following 62 Metro Hartford towns: Andover, Ashford, Avon, Barkhamsted, Berlin, Bloomfield, Bolton, Bristol, Burlington, Canton, Chaplin, Cheshire, Colchester, Columbia, Coventry, Cromwell, Durham, East Granby, East Haddam, East Hampton, East Hartford, East Windsor, Ellington, Enfield, Farmington, Glastonbury, Granby, Haddam, Hartford, Harwinton, Hebron, Lebanon, Manchester, Mansfield, Marlborough, Meriden, Middlefield, Middletown, New Britain, New Hartford, Newington, Plainville, Plymouth, Portland, Rocky Hill, Simsbury, Somers, South Windsor, Southington, Stafford, Suffield, Tolland, Union, Vernon, Wallingford, West Hartford, Wethersfield, Willington, Winchester, Windham, Windsor, Windsor Locks.

REVENUE GROWTH AWARDS: Awards will be given to those companies that have seen a significant percent increase in revenues fiscal year ended 2007 over 2006. To determine percent increase, subtract 2006 gross revenue from 2007 gross revenue and divide by 2006 revenue.

  • Winners will be determined by the MetroHartford Alliance.
  • Winners in each category will be required to have their answers verified by their accounting firm.
  • Winners will be recognized at the Business Champions Awards Champagne Breakfast, presented by the MetroHartford Alliance and the Hartford Business Journal on June 5th at the Connecticut Convention Center.
  • All nominees will be recognized, as will nominators at the breakfast and in the Hartford Business Journal Business Champions Awards issue.
