2020 Veteran’s Entrepreneurship Resource Microsoft Teams Webinar

Each year the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) celebrates, connects, and empowers service members, veterans, National Guard and Reserve members, and military spouses during National Veterans Small Business Week (NVSBW). This year marks the seventh annual NVSBW. Register

Join us as we celebrate the veteran- and the military-owned small business community. Our presentation will highlight the breadth of free to low-cost entrepreneurial resources that veteran and military entrepreneurs can access right in their neighborhood – from seeking business counseling services from a local SCORE chapter to visiting the Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) in their area for help formulating a business plan.

VetBiz Boots to Business

Are you looking to start your own business? November 3rd and 4th 2020 8:30 am – 4:00 pm Boots to Business is a two-step training program developed to introduce Veterans and transitioning service members to business ownership. This 2-day workshop helps ensure that every participant has access to a standardized entrepreneurship training track and the small business resources in their local communities. Any veteran, spouse and/or dependent children over 18 are welcome to participate! After completing the 2-day Boots to Business session, participants will have the tools and knowledge they need to identify a business opportunity, draft a business plan, connect with local small business resources, and launch their small business. Veteran Resource Panel ( Resources for Veterans) Featured guest: John Scifers, David Rambhajan and Neli Vasquez Rowland

The U.S. Small Business Administration celebrates, connects, and empowers service member (including National Guard and Reserve), veteran, and military spouse entrepreneurs and business owners – past, present, and future – during National Veterans Small Business Week. NVSBW 2020 will take place Nov. 2-6. As always, our goal is to raise awareness of veteran small business ownership and encourage communities to support their veteran- and military-owned businesses.

Join the SBA Illinois District for a Veterans Resource Panel, where guests will provide insight on resources available to help veterans in business and beyond. Guests include:

Veterans Business Outreach Centers (VBOC)

The Veteran Business Outreach Centers provide entrepreneurial development services such as business training, counseling and resource partner referrals to transitioning service members, Veterans, National Guard & Reserve members, military spouses interested in starting or growing a small business.

There are 22 VBOCs across the country who each have a unique service area.
