HARTFORD, Conn. (May 18, 2023) — Access Health CT (AHCT) Small Business and the MetroHartford Alliance today announced the first Connecticut Small Business Summit, which will take place Tuesday, June 13 at the Sheraton Hartford South Hotel in Rocky Hill from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This is a free event. Join other small business owners at the Connecticut Small Business Summit, an innovative one-day event full of engaging opportunities to discuss current trends and challenges small businesses face and ways these things can be addressed. Attendees will gain direct access to consultants on various topics from tax credits to health and wellness through panel discussions and one-on-one sessions. This event will feature two keynote speakers: Governor Ned Lamont and Entrepreneur Gina Luari, CEO and Founder of The Statement Group, which is the only female-owned-and-led restaurant group in the state. Her popular restaurants include The Place 2 Be and RAW*.

The Summit will include two panel breakout sessions covering four areas directly affecting small businesses: balance sheet management, marketing and community impact, tax credits, grants and government programs and health and wellness management. Free breakfast and lunch will be served, and the event concludes with a speed networking vendor expo.

“We are thrilled to partner with MetroHartford Alliance on the first-ever Connecticut Small Business Summit,” said John Carbone, Access Health CT Director of Small Business and Product Development. “We strongly encourage small business owners in the state to join us for this one-of-a-kind event, which will give them the opportunity to network and learn about valuable resources available to them that will benefit them and their employees.

“Access Health CT Small Business is dedicated to being a partner to Connecticut small businesses,” he continued. “We saw this as a perfect opportunity to join with MetroHartford Alliance to present this event that will help these businesses get access to information and guidance in a range of areas from trusted business owners and leaders.”
