Tony Allen and Anthony Zambrello, long-time Accounting Resources, Inc. (ARI) executives, have acquired the accounting and human resources services firm from Ray Noeker. Noeker will remain with ARI in a consultative capacity and will continue to support existing clients.

Allen will serve as chief executive officer (CEO) and Zambrello as president and chief operating officer (COO).

Allen was a partner in the original team of investors that purchased ARI in 2007 and has served as full-time EVP of Corporate Development and a director for the last several years.  He has nearly 40 years of global strategic consulting, business development and operating management experience in diverse industries and was most recently a managing partner of The Impact Group. He has served as vice chairman of the Connecticut Technology Council’s board of directors for 20 years.

Zambrello has been with ARI for 10 years and, prior to that, amassed decades of accounting and management experience in retail, healthcare, construction, restaurant, manufacturing and property management sectors. Before joining ARI, he served as president of Pelton’s Home Health Care, a retail durable equipment company.

Allen said, “We look forward to enhancing the value we bring to our clients, not only in terms of outsourced accounting and HR expertise, but also by facilitating opportunities for local business owners and not-for-profit leaders to network with one another and share best practices.”

Zambrello said, “Over the years, the team at ARI has earned an excellent reputation for world-class accounting and HR expertise, a straightforward communication approach, and a willingness to collaborate with our clients to improve the success of their business or non-profit. Many of our clients find that, when they calculate the cost of sourcing in-house talent and paying salary and benefits, ARI’s outsourced accounting and human resources services are less expensive than an internal resource. And, rather than just one individual, they get decades of collective experience and expertise from a team of individuals who are deeply committed to fulfilling their needs.”

Allen added, “Under Ray’s leadership, ARI has grown significantly and has become not only a trusted outsourcing resource but a valued partner for so many organizations. Our clients take comfort in the fact that they always have access to a human being who understands their organization’s complexities and long-term goals and can provide knowledgeable insight and actionable data to help drive critical business decisions.

“During this tumultuous year, the team at ARI has helped so many clients navigate a rapidly changing business environment, by securing critical government loans that enabled them to weather the pandemic. We look forward to continuing to partner with clients to help them achieve their goals.”
