Join us to learn how manufacturing companies can take advantage of cost-effective risk management solutions through captive insurance entities. This special session tailored specifically to Connecticut manufacturers will take place on November 17th from 2:00 – 3:00 pm.
Many manufacturers in Connecticut have already organized captive insurance companies that have proven to be financially efficient and valuable risk management resources. The Connecticut Captive Insurance Division is also very supportive of Connecticut manufacturers and is looking for opportunities to work with the industry on supporting captive insurance solutions.
This special event will feature Connecticut’s Chief Manufacturing Officer, Colin Cooper, who will kick off the webinar with an overview of Connecticut’s manufacturing industry. We will then be joined by Risk and Insurance Magazine’s 2020 “Captives Power Broker” Michael Serricchio , Managing Director of Marsh Captive Solutions, for a Captive 101 segment. This will include an overview of captive insurance, the pros and cons of captive formation, and a firsthand discussion about forming and managing a captive with Connecticut manufacturing company Amphenol, which is currently utilizing this innovative solution. Mark Turner, Amphenol’s Vice President will engage in the conversation to reflect on his experience, showcase how his company utilizes a captive, and how he determined that a captive was the right solution. The session will be moderated by veteran lobbyist and CCIA Board Member P.J. Cimini who is Managing Partner of Capitol Strategies Group, one of Connecticut’s most highly thought of government relations firms.
