$2.5M state–of–the–art veterans service center officially opens Nov. 11, Veterans Day
Bravery. Sacrifice. Heroism. This Veterans Day takes on
a particularly special meaning locally as Easterseals Capital Region & Eastern Connecticut
opens the doors to its $2.5M Veterans Rally Point, 24 Stott Road in Norwich. A formal program
with local, state and regional leaders, along with the partners who made this project a
reality, kicks off at 3:30 p.m. followed by a reception and celebration at 4 p.m.
“This project highlights the role of Easterseals in the community, and the many partnerships that
make this kind of initiative a reality,” says Ron Welch, BG (Ret) U.S. Army and Vice President of
Military Services & Economic Development, Easterseals. “This is a center of excellence that not
only serves a major need for all military, veterans and their families but can also serve as a
model for similar types of facilities across the country.”
The 18,000 square–foot state–of–the–art facility serves military, veterans and their families with a
variety of innovative services under one roof, including:
