Hospital for Special Care has earned the 2023 Top Workplaces USA award, issued by Energage. Top Workplaces USA celebrates organizations with 150 or more employees that have built great cultures. Winners of the Top Workplaces USA list are chosen based solely on employee feedback gathered through an employee engagement survey, issued by Energage.

Hospital for Special Care has also been recognized as a Hartford Courant Top Workplace for 10 consecutive years and was named a national Woman-Led Top Workplace in October 2022. “Our workforce feels valued, respected and supported. Our employees expect and receive transparency from their supervisors and our leaders. They find their work fulfilling and they find opportunity for personal and professional growth here,” said Lynn Ricci, FACHE, president and chief executive officer. “That’s what this award, this series of outstanding awards, tells me about Hospital for Special Care, and I could not possibly be prouder to be a part of this family, this community.”

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That’s something to be proud of. In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”

“This achievement speaks to the power of mission,” said Diane Chace, Esq., chair of the HFSC Board of Directors. “Everyone here shares a commitment to our patients and their families, our community program participants and to one another. It’s not about perks …it’s about people.”
