MahoneySabol Promotes New Audit Partner
Firm promotes Tracy McKaveney to Partner in the Assurance Services Department
GLASTONBURY, CONN., (January 31, 2022) – MahoneySabol, a regional certified public accounting firm based in Glastonbury, today announced the promotion of Tracy McKaveney to Audit Partner. McKaveney has 21 years of public and private accounting experience providing expertise in accounting, audit, and business consulting.

Previously, McKaveney served as Senior Manager in the attest department, where she managed the attest work for numerous clients, working closely with the engagement partners to identify risks and develop the firm’s audit approach.
In her new role, McKaveney has overall responsibility for work performed on client attest engagements. She manages the firms’ clients in three distinct industries: not-for-profit, renewable energy, and breweries. Beyond those industries, she also works with manufacturers, real estate, and construction contractors.
McKaveney is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, and MetroHartford Alliance. She is a member of the board of directors and Chair of the Finance Committee of The Hospital for Special Care, and a member of the finance council of the Saint Josephine Bakhita Parish in Rocky Hill. She has also served on a variety of other nonprofit boards, including the Great Hartford Jaycees and LiveKind. She is a member of the Hartford Business Journal 40 under forty, class of 2014. McKaveney co-founded MahoneySabol’s Women’s Initiative to foster professional development for women through networking events and has worked at the firm since 2007.
McKaveney graduated from Bryant University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting. She holds a Master of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. She grew up in Harwinton and now resides in Rocky Hill with her husband, Chris, and two sons, Aidan and Liam.
