A Message from President and CEO David Griggs:
I am pleased to announce that the MetroHartford Alliance has elected David C. Robinson to Chair of the Board of Directors. He succeeds Andy Bessette, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at The Travelers Companies, Inc. I want to thank Andy for his many years of service to the organization and personally for the opportunity to lead the Alliance. I look forward to continuing our work together.
David is Executive Vice President and General Counsel at The Hartford, a role he assumed in June 2015. In this capacity, he oversees the law department, government affairs, and compliance. He also chairs the company’s Environment Committee. In his time engaged with the Alliance, David’s leadership and vision have contributed to our growth as a Region and role as an economic development partnership. We are fortunate to have him as Board Chair.
David received his bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University and his JD, magna cum laude, from Cornell Law School. He also holds a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Hartford.
