Effective January 1, 2021, Murtha Cullina LLP has promoted Attorneys Taruna Garg and James F. Radke to Partner and Julia P. Boisvert to Counsel.

Ms. Garg is a commercial litigation attorney practicing in the areas of business litigation, insolvency and reorganization, creditors’ rights, and appellate litigation. In her bankruptcy practice, Ms. Garg has a wide range of experience representing business debtors (and their directors, officers and employees), secured and unsecured creditors, trustees, creditors’ committees, and contract counterparties (such as landlord, suppliers, vendors) in out-of-court workouts, liquidations, reorganizations, and Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 15 proceedings. She also advises clients acquiring assets of distressed entities, both in and out of bankruptcy. In her litigation practice, Ms. Garg represents individual and corporate clients in a wide range of disputes including breach of business contracts, violation of non-competition agreements, successor liability, lender liability, and complex tort litigation throughout all stages of litigation, settlement and alternative dispute processes. Taruna has also successfully assisted clients who are victims of online defamation. Ms. Garg received her J.D. from the Boston University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Boston University.

Mr. Radke is a commercial litigation attorney who assists clients in resolving a wide variety of business disputes. He represents auto dealers, manufacturers, franchisors, commercial landlords, general contractors, assisted living facilities and many other businesses in connection with contractual disputes, employment discrimination and wage issues, franchise and distributor issues, landlord/tenant matters, collection actions, tort and product liability matters, noncompetition cases and others. His practice includes regular appearances in Massachusetts state and federal courts, including bench and jury trials, participation in alternative dispute resolution proceedings and handling appeals in state and federal courts. Mr. Radke received his J.D. from Northeastern University and his B.S. from Trinity College.

Ms. Boisvert is a member of the Health Care and Tax-Exempt Organizations Practice Groups. She assists hospitals, physicians, physician practice groups, social service providers, and other for-profit and nonprofit health care providers with a variety of health care regulatory, corporate, and business issues. She regularly advises clients on corporate formation, governance matters, corporate transactions, employment matters, licensure, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, HIPAA and privacy compliance, and fraud and abuse matters. For tax-exempt organizations, she also assists with filing for recognition of tax exemption, board management issues, charitable giving matters, and grantmaking. Ms. Boisvert received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the American University Washington College of Law and her B.S. from Cornell University.
