University of Saint Joseph Hosts Talk on “Mercy Educated: Exploring the Work of Mercy, Catholic Higher Education Today.”

On September 14, 2022 at 4 p.m. the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) will welcome Dr. Theresa Ladrigan-Whelpley who will lead a lecture entitled “Mercy Educated: Exploring the Work of Mercy, Catholic Higher Education Today.” The event will be held in the Hoffman Auditorium on the campus of USJ and is open to the public.

Dr. Theresa Ladrigan-Whelpley currently serves as Vice President for Mission Integration at Salve Regina University and Assistant Professor in Religious and Theological Studies. She will discuss what is the work of Mercy, Catholic Higher Education today, and how do the core values of the University find expression through a Mercy lens? In this lecture and workshop, Dr. Ladrigan-Whelpley will reflect on the life and legacy of Catherine McAuley and the Sisters of Mercy and invite the USJ community to consider how an application of its core values, such as hospitality, compassionate service, integrity, and diversity, meaningfully advance the work of Mercy, Catholic Higher Education today.
