Hartford, CT — Upward Labs, Connecticut’s pilot program and venture fund designed to fast-track the commercialization of smart building and aged care solutions, announced that its third Demo Day on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, will take place online.
Despite the challenges of 2020, the third cohort of Upward’s innovation program continued in-person over the last six months, bringing live use cases to Hartford properties and healthcare partners. The ten companies’ virtual presentations will address how their technologies alleviated critical health and operational issues amplified by COVID-19, such as social isolation for seniors, indoor air quality, and energy efficiency in buildings.

Solutions in Upward’s PropTech Lab address smart energy management, building security and efficiency, indoor air quality, and monitoring of other environmental factors within commercial and residential properties.
The Labs’ AgeTech solutions alleviate social isolation in seniors, provide remote monitoring and predictive capabilities to skilled nursing facilities and at-home caregivers, and help users achieve healthier levels of sleep.
After the live demonstrations, Upward Labs’ Demo Day: Resilience offers attendees the opportunity to engage in 1-on-1 or small group meetings with companies of their choice.
