Expert Speakers, Innovative InsurTech Finalists Highlight ITC Hartford Tour Stop

Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin Announces Finalists for September 10 Program

Join Hartford’s insurtech movement. The annual global InsureTech Connect (ITC) event in Las Vegas has shifted from an in-person gathering of insurtech leaders to an all-digital experience on September 21 - 23.  Leading into that event, more than 30 cities across the globe will host a stop on the ITC + DIA World Tour to select an emerging insurtech startup to represent their community on the world stage.  The Hartford stop will be held on September 10 from 2-5 p.m. The innovative program offers insurtech startups the chance to compete and showcase their talents at the ITC Global Competition.“Hartford has always been a global leader in insurance and now, with the ITC World Tour stop, we are a force of innovation for the world to see,” said Susan Winkler, Vice President, MetroHartford Alliance, Executive Director, CT Insurance & Financial Services, one of the event partners. “How exciting to showcase our own, local startups representing the best of insurtech in this global event. I am looking forward to the competition.”“I’m so proud to have Hartford featured as one of the stops on ITC’s World Tour this year. Over the last three years, a visible insurtech community has emerged. Today, we have our anchor corporations, higher education institutions, and business community all working together to make Hartford the best place on the East Coast to start or grow an insurtech company,” said Michell Cote, Director of Launc[H]artford.  “This pitch competition showcases some of the best of those emerging companies from our community, and we can’t wait to show the rest of the world the special environment that we’ve created here together.”In addition to the competition component of the program, attendees will network with insurtechs from across the globe, hear from insurtech experts and discover new organizations that could serve as future partners. Hartford’s stop is a collaboration between Insurtech Hartford, CT Insurance and Financial Services and Launc[H]artford.
