The Connecticut Insurance and Financial Services (IFS) Cluster, an initiative of the MetroHartford Alliance which fosters cooperation and collaboration among business, academia and state government to support economic and workforce development, will host the inaugural Insurance Market Forecast on Friday, November 9 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Hilton Hartford Hotel. The event will unite nine thought leaders from across Connecticut’s insurance landscape to share economic data and industry forecasting. PwC US and the Connecticut IFS Cluster will also release the 2012 Insurance Market Report

, which will be released during the November 9 event, Connecticut ranks first nationally in insurance employment as a percentage of total employment and the industry represents approximately 3 percent of the state’s workforce, 6 percent of the state’s payroll and 9 percent of the gross state product.
