"The Future of Personalized Medicine" Featuring Carl Zimmer - September 13
Join the Connecticut Health Council for its September program, featuring award-winning author and science journalist Carl Zimmer in an exploration of the "The Future of Personalized Medicine."
"This is an exciting time to be talking about personalized medicine," says Zimmer. "Through my reporting for the New York Times
and elsewhere, I've come to appreciate just how much potential there is for tailoring medicine to our individual biology. But we can't ignore the complexity that this research is revealing. Our genomes are revealing surprising layers of complicated interactions, and we even have to pay attention to the germs that call us home."
Zimmer also lectures at Yale University, a Connecticut Health Council Founding Partner. This unique presentation will be held at the New Haven Lawn Club in New Haven from 7:30 until 9:30 a.m. on Friday, September 13.
General admission to the event is $25. Register here
