Nadine Francis West to Transition to New Role
Will serve as Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Office, and Corporate Secretary for Protein Sciences Corporation

Nadine Francis West has accepted a position with Protein Sciences to serve as its Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, and Corporate Secretary reporting to Manon Cox, the company's President and CEO.  Nadine will start her new role on August 11th, and her skills and experience will undoubtedly strengthen the Protein Science management team as the company builds on its recent successful launch of Flublok, its seasonal influenza vaccine.

All of us at the Alliance greatly respect and appreciate Nadine's numerous and invaluable contributions during our entire 13 year history as well as those that she made to the Chamber in the prior years.  In her capacity as the Alliance's Chief Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary, Nadine has led efforts to improve capability and capacity in a number of key functions, including responsibilities in accounting, audit, governance, human resources, and information technology.  She also played a key role in the launch of the Connecticut Health Council.

Most recently, Nadine took the lead in negotiating the extension of the Alliance's lease, the design of the renovated 5th floor, and the successful logistics of the relocation of the team to the 4th floor and its return to the 5th floor.  Moreover, Nadine has been a model of personal integrity, a champion of the Alliance's mission, and a key driver in its strategic thinking and execution throughout her tenure.  She has also contributed her considerable talents and energy to the Boards of a number of other important organizations, including Achieve Hartford!, Aurora Women and Girls Foundation, Hartford Stage, UConn Foundation and Upper Albany Main Street.

The Alliance wishes Nadine tremendous success in her new role and takes great pride in her joining one of Connecticut's most dynamic privately held companies that we are pleased to number in our family of Strategic Partners and the growing group of Founding Partners of the Connecticut Health Council. We will let you know soon about an opportunity to recognize Nadine's contributions to the Alliance formally and ask you to join us in the interim in congratulating her on this next stop in her professional career.
