Fiscal Sustainability Series Continues in September

MetroHartford Alliance

In February 2014, the MetroHartford Alliance and several partner organizations established a programming series focused on Connecticut's fiscal challenges and opportunities.  Dealing effectively with our long-term obligations is critical to sustaining investments in education, transportation, and other elements of a strong economic and employment foundation.

The first session of the Fiscal Sustainability series was held February 25 in Hartford, with subsequent programs hosted in Waterbury and Groton in May.  Upcoming this September 5 and 11 are two more sessions featuring distinguished panels that will analyze and discuss these challenges and opportunities, and assist attendees in becoming more informed voters.  Full details follow below.

Sponsor for the Fiscal Sustainability series is Webster Bank.  The partners of this effort include Bridgeport Regional Business Council, Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut, Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce, MetroHartford Alliance, Waterbury Regional Chamber, The Connecticut Mirror and the Connecticut Institute for the 21st Century.  Tickets for these sessions are $25 per person.
