Hartford, Conn. (July 30, 2014) - The MetroHartford Alliance, the Hartford Region's economic development leader and the City of Hartford's Chamber of Commerce, is pleased to announce that it has received a first place award from the Northeastern Economic Developers Association (NEDA) in its 2014 Literature and Promotion Awards competition. The Alliance submitted a nomination to highlight the organization’s 2014 Annual Celebration within the Special Event award category. NEDA's Annual Awards Committee reviewed the nomination, which focused on the event as the formal unveiling of the new Alliance logo, and awarded the submission first place.
John Shemo, vice president and director of economic development for the MetroHartford Alliance, will accept the award on behalf of the organization at NEDA's annual conference, this year hosted September 7 through 9 in Worcester, Mass.
