Connecticut Health Council to Host the ‘State of the Exchange and Open Enrollment Readiness'
The Connecticut Health Council, an association of health sector leaders who work together to promote Connecticut as a national center of health excellence and wellness, will host ‘Connecticut’s Health Insurance Exchange and Open Enrollment Readiness’ on Thursday, October 30th from 7:30-9:00a.m. at the New Haven Lawn Club, located at 193 Whitney Avenue in New Haven. Presented by Access Health CT’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, James R. Wadleigh, Jr., the program will provide a retrospective on the Exchange, examine the current state of the Exchange and synthesize what is being done for 2015 Open Enrollment Readiness.
“Health Insurance Exchanges have drastically impacted the healthcare landscape for insurers, providers and patients alike,” Amy Cunningham, Executive Director, Connecticut Health Council, said. “We’re excited to welcome Mr. Wadleigh and learn both how Access Health CT has evolved since its inception and what is being done for 2015 Open Enrollment Readiness.”
Prior to being appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Wadleigh served as Chief Information Officer of Access Health CT. The work of Mr. Wadleigh and his team were recently recognized by the Government Research Technology Alliance and Health Technology Research Advisory & Council with their Executive Technology Award as Healthcare Innovator of the Year. In his role, Mr. Wadleigh is responsible for continuing Access Health CT’s mission to increase the number of incurred Connecticut residents, improve health care quality, lower costs and reduce health disparities.
The Connecticut Health Council’s programming is designed to link the network of professionals across various components of the health sector, thereby increasing the number of people promoting the State’s significant inventory of health assets and resources.
Tickets for the ‘State of the Exchange and Open Enrollment Readiness’ are $25/per person for Founding Partners and $50/per person for non-members.
