On Friday, November 14th, the MetroHartford Alliance and Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, Inc. will host The Heart of Leadership, a dynamic conversation about bold action and overcoming business and personal challenges. Aetna is the program’s sponsor. Featuring Mark Bertolini, Chairman, CEO and President of Aetna, and Retired Navy Lt. Brad Snyder, the event will empower attendees to tackle the toughest challenges and hone their leadership skills.
“We’re delighted to have Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation as a partner for this exciting event,” Oz Griebel, President and CEO of the MetroHartford Alliance, said. “Both Mr. Bertolini and Lt. Snyder have powerful stories to share and we’re confident attendees will leave with new perspectives on what is at the heart of great leadership.”
A member of the Fidelco Board of Directors, Mr. Bertolini is partially disabled as the result of a 2004 skiing accident. His personal experiences with the health care system have inspired a lifelong dedication to improving the patient experience and addressing longstanding challenges of the U.S. health care system. Lt. Snyder, who is currently partnered with Fidelco Guide Dog “Gizzy,” suffered a blinding battlefield explosion during his career with the Navy. An alumnus of the U.S. Naval Academy, Lt. Snyder is a two-time Gold Medal winner from the 2012 London Paralympic Games.
