Nov. 18 Rising Star Breakfast to Examine How Connecticut Small Business Owners are Faring Post-recession

What is Connecticut’s small business climate like post-recession? How are entrepreneurs faring in today’s economy? Find out on Tuesday, Nov. 18 as the MetroHartford Alliance and The Hartford host Recession Reset: Encouraging Entrepreneurship in Connecticut. Part of the Alliance’s Rising Star Breakfast series, the event will feature findings from The Hartford’s Fourth Annual Small Business Success Study as well as a panel discussion featuring local small business leaders.

“The small business community is a vital part of our state’s economy,” said Oz Griebel, President and CEO, MetroHartford Alliance. “We look forward to hearing how Connecticut’s small business community is faring after the recession and are delighted to have representatives from The Hartford as well as our own small business community joining us for this important and timely discussion.”

The Hartford’s new CEO Christopher Swift will provide opening remarks, revealing key findings from The Hartford’s study, and discuss how small business owners are moving forward post-recession. Swift will introduce a panel, which will take place from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Infinity Music Hall and Bistro, 32 Front Street, Hartford, featuring:

•    Rory Gale and Callie Gale Heilmann, Co-owners of Hartford Prints!
•    Paul Quintero, Chief Executive Officer of Accion East  

The panel discussion will be moderated by Lindsey Pollak, millennial workplace expert and New York Times best-selling author.
