Last Thursday's apartment building fire
in the North End left 35 families homeless. The City of Hartford is making housing provisions for the families, but charitable contributions are needed to help them rebuild their lives. Phillips Metropolitan CME Church has established a resource center for this purpose.
Needed items include:
- Bus passes
- Gift cards for local grocery stores and restaurants
- New or gently used children's clothes for spring and summer
- New underwear
- School supplies
- Financial contributions (make checks out to Phillips Metropolitan CME Church, Memo: Fire Victims)
Please bring donations to the Phillips office complex (next door to the church) at 2550 Main Street, Hartford, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and a security guard will direct you.
Whether your contribution is financial or in-kind, please provide your name and email or mailing address so the church can send you an acknowledgment for tax purposes.
Please contact Phillips Health Ministry at (860) 246-0049 x28 or email email@example.com
with any questions.
