The City of Hartford and the Hartford Business Improvement District are pleased to officially announce the return of the popular Pratt Street Patio. Beginning Tuesday, May 29, Pratt Street will once again be closed to vehicular traffic Monday – Thursday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. The Pratt Street Patio will run until Friday, September 28.
The Hartford Business Improvement District and Hartford.com will be providing free lunchtime concerts every Thursday at noon beginning May 31. Performers for the lunchtime series include Hartford favorites Joey Batts and Tang Sauce, as well as a wide array of musicians culled together from across the state.
The Pratt Street Patio will also be a source of entertainment on Friday evenings this summer. The Hartford Business Improvement District and Hartford.com will be reviving their highly-successful Salsa Social series, presented by Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare, on June 15, July 6, August 17, and September 7. Other Friday evening activities include Business For Downtown Hartford’s Pratt Street Fair on June 1, special appearances by Hartford Proud Drill, Drum & Dance Corp. and TNMOT AZTRO on June 29, the Hartford Prints! produced Hartford Handsome event on July 27, and a special performance by blues-rock power trio, Jake Kulak & The Lowdown, on August 31.
The Greater Hartford Arts Council will also be hosting their annual Arts On The Street series during the Pratt Street Patio for four consecutive Tuesdays from May 29 – June 19.
