Hartford.com Announces Free Lunchtime Meditation Series on Constitution Plaza
Hartford.com and the Hartford Business Improvement District are pleased to officially announce the launch of a new weekly meditation series taking place on Constitution Plaza every Monday afternoon beginning June 11 and running through September 24.
The series, dubbed “Meditation Mondays” will take place from 12-1 pm by the clock tower on the north end of Constitution Plaza. Each hour will consist of three 15-minute sessions and will be led by instructors from the Hartford Mindfulness Center. All sessions are free and open to the general public. Participants can sit in for one, two, or all three of the sessions each week.
Studies have shown that meditation helps to reduce stress, control anxiety, promote emotional health, improve areas related to positive thinking and optimism, enhance self-awareness, and lengthen attention span.
Meditation Mondays is made possible by a generous sponsorship from Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.
