Murtha Cullina Attorney Nisha Kapur has been named a recipient of the “40 Under Forty” Award from the Hartford Business Journal (HBJ).
For the past 22 years, the HBJ has selected 40 outstanding young professionals who are excelling in their industries and making a difference in the community. This year, the HBJ received 164 nominations for this award.
Ms. Kapur is a member of the Murtha Cullina Business and Finance Department and the Privately Owned Business and Emerging Companies Practice Groups. She represents public, private and emerging-growth companies, including for-profit and not-for-profit entities, with corporate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, equity and debt financings, and other strategic transactions.
Ms. Kapur serves as a director of the UConn Law School Alumni Association, she is the Chair of the Lawyer's Collaborative for Diversity Attorney Advisory Committee and she sits on the Board of Directors of Conscious Capitalism Connecticut, Inc. In May 2018, Ms. Kapur was recognized by the Connecticut Law Tribune as a “New Leader in the Law.” She received her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and her B.A. from George Washington University.
Ms. Kapur and the other “40 Under Forty” recipients will be honored at an awards ceremony on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Hartford Marriott Downtown.
