I am pleased to announce Julie Daly Meehan as the MetroHartford Alliance’s new Chief Investor Relations Officer, effective immediately. Julie joined the Alliance 11 years ago and as HYPE’s first Executive Director played an instrumental role in establishing what is one of the most successful and largest young professional organizations in the country. Most recently Julie has served as Vice President, Investor Engagement and Retention, where she interfaced with investors to leverage their value proposition and their engagement. Most of you have established relationships with Nancy Wheeler over the years, who has been a true asset to our organization in so many ways. Nancy is resuming work on her own business after 15 years at the Alliance but will continue to offer her insight and expertise within the organization through December. As part of the Leadership Team, Julie will play a key role in building upon the relationships Nancy has established while bringing her passion and creativity to maximize your value as an investor.
With a sharper focus on economic development – including retaining and attracting jobs and talent, as well as business growth and retention - the MetroHartford Alliance’s transition to the Hartford Region’s only regional economic development organization (REDO) and leader fills an economic development void for this community. We also plan to resurrect the Hartford Chamber of Commerce to support smaller businesses and ensure a strong urban core in support of the Alliance’s mission and its initiatives, including the Connecticut Health Council, CT Insurance and Financial Services, HYPE and Innovation Destination: Hartford.
We are eager to serve as Hartford’s REDO and to work with key partners and constituents to ensure a robust local and global economy in a variety of sectors – insurance and financial services, aerospace, manufacturing, healthcare and more - for generations. We look forward to enhancing your investment and building our value proposition to ensure a healthy and sustainable organization that supports your role and work in this community.
Again, please join me in congratulating Julie on her new role as Chief Investor Relations Officer.
Let’s do business together.
