Robinson+Cole Elects New Partners

Robinson+Cole is pleased to announce the election of seven new partners, effective January 1, 2019. The new partners are Daniel E. Bryer, Shant H. Chalian, Ian T. Clarke-Fisher, Candace M. Cunningham, Kathleen E. Dion, Jonathan R. Hausner, and Benjamin C. Jensen.

New Partners

Daniel E. Bryer – Mr. Bryer litigates complex insurance coverage disputes and provides insurance coverage advice to insurers. He works closely with clients to develop effective, efficient litigation strategies and adopts a flexible approach to problem solving to best meet his clients’ needs. Mr. Bryer is a member of the firm’s Insurance + Reinsurance Group and is resident in the firm’s New York office.

Shant H. Chalian – Mr. Chalian concentrates his practice on fund formation, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and securities matters. He assists a range of clients, including private equity and hedge funds and their sponsors, large corporations, middle-market companies, family-owned businesses, and venture capital groups. Mr. Chalian is a member of the firm’s Business Transactions Group and is resident in the firm’s Stamford office.

Ian T. Clarke-Fisher – Ian Clarke-Fisher focuses on commercial and employment litigation. He works with businesses on every aspect of a dispute, from pre-litigation strategies to trial, and handling matters on appeal. His commercial cases involve complex contractual disputes, along with breach of fiduciary duty, business torts, unfair trade practices, and intellectual property claims. Mr. Clarke-Fisher also handles employment-related cases and counsels clients on various employment issues, including restrictive covenants, confidentiality agreements, wrongful termination, and wage and hour issues. Mr. Clarke-Fisher is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Group and its Labor + Employment Group. He is resident in the firm’s New York office.

Candace M. Cunningham – Ms. Cunningham practices commercial real estate finance law, with an emphasis on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Delegated Underwriting and Servicing (DUS) lender financing for apartments, senior housing, and affordable housing nationwide. She is a member of the firm’s Real Estate + Development Group and is resident in the firm’s Hartford office.

Kathleen E. Dion – Ms. Dion is a member of Robinson+Cole's Litigation Section, where she focuses her practice on all aspects of civil and criminal litigation. She frequently handles cases related to education, government and internal investigations, and business disputes. Ms. Dion also assists public and private companies with internal investigations on a variety of matters, including allegations of financial wrongdoing and regulatory non-compliance. She is resident in the firm’s Hartford office.

Jonathan R. Hausner – Mr. Hausner is a member of the firm's Construction Group and has spent his entire legal career focused on construction law. He handles all aspects of construction project transactions, dispute resolution and litigation. Mr. Hausner represents all parties involved in construction, including public and private property owners, general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, and construction sureties. Mr. Hausner is resident in the firm’s Boston office.

Benjamin C. Jensen – Mr. Jensen represents clients in litigation and regulatory compliance matters involving technology, data privacy and cybersecurity. He is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property + Technology and Business Litigation Groups, as well as the Data Privacy + Cybersecurity Team. Mr. Jensen also leads the firm’s Financial Services Cyber-Compliance Team and the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Technology initiative. He is resident in the firm’s Hartford office.
