I am pleased to announce Julio A. Concepción as Executive Director of the Hartford Chamber of Commerce, effective immediately and reporting to me directly.
In his 11 years at the Alliance, Julio has served as Vice President of Hartford Partnerships, acting as the liaison between the organization, its investors and the City of Hartford, its elected and appointed officials, its departments and most importantly, its neighborhoods. In this role, Julio has played an integral role in the Alliance’s visibility in Hartford and positioning the organization to address the issues that impact the business community and the city’s residents. This position has also enabled Julio to serve in vital capacities supporting Hartford’s business community and its residents’ quality of life including roles at Riverfront Recapture, Knox Foundation, the United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut, and the Hartford Business Improvement District.
As we reinvigorate the Hartford Chamber of Commerce, in alignment with ensuring a vibrant urban core and a closer connection to the city of Hartford’s business community of all sizes. Julio’s energy and passion for Hartford will drive his work with the city’s business owners and employers and help strengthen neighborhoods with a robust, business-friendly environment fostering economic development. In addition, Julio will also grow our core membership through an increased value proposition, including enhanced programming and services benefitting all our members.
When Hartford succeeds, the entire region succeeds. The Alliance looks forward to serving as the Chamber for businesses and residents of our Capital City. We’re eager to build on Hartford’s momentum as a global city and a diverse business community that adds value for residents and members and supports Hartford as a vibrant, urban core we can all be proud of for generations.
Again, please join me in congratulating Julio on his new role as Executive Director of the Hartford Chamber of Commerce.
