Hartford, Connecticut (December 16, 2015) —
Achieve Hartford! is proud to announce a new signature annual event: Inspire Hartford
. Forget everything you’ve learned about education and see innovation in action as the best and brightest of Hartford’s high achievers come together to showcase incredible advances in learning. Eat, drink, celebrate and hear uplifting stories of success—all to support the Achieve Hartford! mission of improving Hartford’s schools to build a stronger city.
Inspire Hartford will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the XL Center in downtown Hartford. An exclusive VIP reception begins at 5:30 p.m.; the main event runs from 6 to 8 p.m.
The event features thematic, interactive zones, each demonstrating a different aspect of education innovation: creative thinking, health and wellness, future entrepreneurs and advances in STEM learning. Zones are programmed by Achieve Hartford! and community partners, highlighting the collaboration and partnership between local education innovators and the Hartford Public Schools to provide students with a cutting edge, 21st century education.
Celebrity guest Jerry Greenfield, co-founder of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream and the president of the Ben & Jerry’s Foundation, will inspire the audience with his ideas about the intersection of social enterprise, education and the community. An entrepreneur by circumstance, Greenfield and his friend Ben Cohen founded Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, a pioneer in corporate social responsibility and one of the most talked-about, unconventional success stories in American business.
Tickets go on sale in January 2016. For more information about the event, visit www.inspirehartford.com
