Nearly 500 people gathered at the Hartford Marriott Downtown Friday night to kick off Stanley Black & Decker’s 175th anniversary in a gala celebration called Celebrating the Tools That Built America.
The New Britain-based company, whose 175th anniversary officially occurs in 2018, hosted the gala to benefit Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network (CPBN). The event raised more than $600,000 for CPBN’s program and services.
The celebration included a sneak preview of a public media documentary on the company’s history that will air on CPTV beginning in the fall of 2017.
