History: After 26 years of city policing, I retired as the Deputy Chief of the Middletown Police Department. Since then, I have become the Chief of Police at CCSU Police Department.
A little over four years ago, I decided to tackle a lifelong dream and I walked into Middlesex Music Academy in Middletown, CT and said, I cannot play and instrument or read music, can you help me? They told me, new students are asked to practice for 45 minutes every other day. I went home and from day one, I began practicing three (3) hours a day, seven days a week and I spent an additional hour and a half learning to read music.
Hartford Jazz Society Contest: A few months ago, the Hartford Jazz Society announced it was conducting their first “Emerging Jazz Artist” contest. Contestants were asked to submit a video performance. To my surprise I selected to compete and now I am in the finals. The winner will be selected based on total numbers of on-line audience votes. One person, one vote and it’s free to vote.
