The Pro Bono Partnership’s Hartford Program presented Robinson+Cole with the Partnership’s inaugural Founders’ Award during a 10th anniversary celebration hosted by Robinson+Cole on September 12, 2017.
Robinson+Cole has housed the Pro Bono Partnership’s Hartford Program for 10 years. In addition to donating office space and providing access to conference rooms, office services, and IT assistance, the firm’s lawyers have continually volunteered their time to participate in the Partnership’s pro bono projects.
"Robinson+Cole truly embodies the spirit of the Founders' Award, and I'm pleased to honor the firm with our inaugural award,” said Priya Morganstern, Hartford Program Director for the Pro Bono Partnership. “Robinson+Cole understands the importance of pro bono work and the tremendous positive impact nonprofits have on our community."
The Pro Bono Partnership’s Founders’ Award honors the lasting contributions of the organization’s founding members William Trachsel, Michael Bangser, and William J. Casazza. Their vision, commitment, and continued support have made the Pro Bono Partnership what it is today—an organization dedicated to strengthening nonprofits and communities in Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York by providing free transactional legal services.
Over the past ten years, the Pro Bono Partnership’s Hartford Program has provided free legal services to 427 local nonprofits, enabling them to more effectively feed the hungry, house the homeless, promote the arts, protect the environment, and provide essential programs to children, the elderly, immigrants, the disabled, and the unemployed.
Robinson+Cole is a service mark of Robinson & Cole LLP, an Am Law 200 firm with more than 200 lawyers in nine offices serving regional, national, and international clients, from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. For more information, please visit www.rc.com.
