Murtha Cullina Partner Alfred R. Casella was recently elected as a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a prestigious association of highly-credentialed trust and estate lawyers.
ACTEC is a national organization of approximately 2,500 lawyers elected to membership by demonstrating the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence, and experience as trust and estate counselors.
Mr. Casella’s practice includes estate administration, probate litigation and sophisticated estate planning. His practice also includes serving as a fiduciary, whether as executor, trustee or conservator, as well as serving as counsel for conservatorships.
Mr. Casella is on the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Estate & Probate Section, he is also a member of the CBA’s Tax Section. He is a member of the Hartford Estate and Business Planning Council, serves on the Executive Committee of the Central Connecticut Estate and Business Planning Council and he is Chair of the Greater Hartford Probate Forum.
Mr. Casella earned his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, his LL.M in taxation from the New York University School of Law, and is admitted to practice in Connecticut, Massachusetts, the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts.
