For the 26th year, The Connecticut Forum and its family of volunteers, Board Members, high school students, and community partners will come together to bring holiday cheer to some of Hartford’s most deserving children.
More than 300 students age 4-12 from each of Hartford’s Public Elementary Schools have been invited to attend The Connecticut Forum’s Annual Hartford Children’s Holiday Party on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Hartford Marriott Downtown.
Nearly 100 Greater Hartford high school students from the Connecticut YOUTH Forum, a community outreach program of The Connecticut Forum, serve as “elves” at this holiday celebration, bringing cheer to children and guiding them for an afternoon of food, crafts, live music, and plenty of holiday magic. Special guests at the event include Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, and Santa Claus.
WHAT: The CT Forum’s Annual Hartford Children’s Holiday Party
WHEN: Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 from 11AM – 1PM
WHERE: Hartford Marriott Downtown at 200 Columbus Blvd, Hartford
Each year, The Connecticut Forum invites teachers and administrators from each of Hartford’s Public Elementary Schools to select up to ten students who might not otherwise experience a festive holiday celebration to attend this very special event.
Thanks to the generosity of Target Stores, each child will receive a holiday gift and a complimentary gift bag containing practical items such as mittens, lip balm, tissues, and other personal items.
“Hands down, this is the best party of the year,” said Doris Sugarman, Executive Director of The Connecticut Forum. “To see our community come together to bring smiles and holiday cheer to some of Hartford’s most deserving children? It just doesn’t get any better than that.”
This annual event is made possible by the generosity of Hartford Marriott Downtown, Target Stores, Aetna, RBC Wealth Management, Hinckley Allen, Connecticut Wealth Management, and numerous other sponsors, individual donors and volunteers of The Connecticut Forum.
