43 LED snowflakes have been installed on lamp posts along Bushnell Park from Union Station to the Winterfest skating rink, and on Gold Street from Bushnell Park to Travelers Plaza. These gorgeous, 5 foot-tall snowflakes decorations will brighten the way for park patrons and Winterfest attendees alike.
The new energy efficient decorations were purchased and installed by the Hartford Business Improvement District (HBID) thanks to a Neighborhood Assistance Act Tax Credit contribution from the Comcast Foundation.
“We are excited for the opportunity to make this holiday season a little brighter,” said Jordan Polon, Executive Director of the Hartford Business Improvement District. “We are very grateful for the Comcast Foundation, who helped make this happen.”
Working collectively with the Mayor’s Office, Police Department, Public Works Department, as well as more than 100 property owners and other local organizations within the District, the HBID is a 501c3 special services district dedicated to creating positive and lasting change by enhancing the economic vitality and quality of life for employees, visitors and residents within the District.
The Comcast Foundation was founded by Comcast Corporation in June 1999 to provide charitable support to qualified non-profit organizations. The Foundation primarily invests in programs and non-profit organizations that strengthen our communities.
