WHAT: Summer in the City, a program to promote arts and cultural events throughout the Hartford region, including a series of festivals featuring free music festivals and cultural celebrations in Hartford, will kick-off its second year and announce its event lineup at an official press conference. Summer in the City is a program of the Greater Hartford Arts Council and is made possible by United Technologies Corp. and is produced in partnership with the City of Hartford.

EVENT: Celebrate the kick-off of Summer in the City with a taste of the cultural festivals with refreshments served by Taste of the Caribbean’s partner restaurant, Dunn’s River, and experience the excitement of the summer events with a performance by the Caribbean American Dance Company. Speakers of the press conference include: Cathy Malloy, Chief Executive Office of the Greater Hartford Arts Council; Mayor Luke Bronin; Charles D. Gill, Executive Vice President & General Counsel of United Technologies Corp.; and Ana-Valentin Jackson, Board Chair of the CICD Puerto Rican Parade.
