ConnectiCare Members, Employees Give Back to Connecticut Food Bank

On December 1, ConnectiCare members and employees volunteered at the Connecticut Food Bank to sort and organize 14,000 pounds of food for feeding programs in the area. Volunteers gathered as part of ConnectiCare’s Good Deeds program, which provides members and employees with opportunities to serve the community and promote healthier lifestyles.

“Connecticut Food Bank works tirelessly to support and feed our local communities across the state,” said ConnectiCare’s CEO, Eric Galvin (photographed above). “ConnectiCare is proud to support such a generous and hard-working nonprofit, and we look forward to returning with a new group of Good Deeds volunteers next month.”

Good Deeds with ConnectiCare was established by the health plan in early 2018. Previous projects have included sprucing up Hartford’s Corridor of Hope and assisting the Community Child Guidance Clinic, Inc. to educate residents in the Manchester area about child and family mental health services.
