Murtha Cullina Partner Matthew K. Curtin has been appointed as Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) and Attorney Martha M. Royston has been appointed Secretary.
Mr. Curtin represents private and public sector employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. He has substantial experience with collective bargaining, labor arbitrations, and labor relations. He also is a frequent author and speaker concerning various employment issues. Mr. Curtin received his B.A. from the University of Connecticut, his M.B.A. from Quinnipiac University, and his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
Ms. Royston represents employers in a wide variety of cases, including claims of discrimination and retaliation; breach of non-compete and restrictive covenants; and wage and hour violations. She also counsels employers on best practices and helps management and human resources professionals navigate personnel issues. She is on the Steering Committee of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce Human Resource Council. Ms. Royston received her J.D. from Boston College Law School and her B.A. from Bowdoin College.
The CBA Labor and Employment Law Section studies legal principles that impact labor or employment law. The Executive Committee strives to promote diversity within the labor and employment section by fostering collegial relations among all members of the section.
