Robinson+Cole (R+C) is pleased to announce the addition of John L. Cordani to the firm’s Business Litigation practice, where he will focus his practice on Intellectual Property and Information Technology litigation. Mr. Cordani joins as a partner in the Hartford, Connecticut office. Prior to joining R+C, he was with McCarter & English LLP and prior to that a partner with Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP.
Mr. Cordani maintains a world-wide patent litigation, prosecution, licensing and counselling practice. He is a registered patent attorney with extensive experience before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in document-intensive and scientific disputes.

Prior to attending Cornell Law School, where he was the salutatorian of his class, Mr. Cordani worked as a chemist, and holds multiple patents covering aspects of his research. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Quinnipiac University School of Law, where he teaches a course on Patent Litigation and Strategy. He has also served as a Special Public Defender in a pro bono capacity providing representation for indigent defendants in criminal matters.
