blumshapiro to Serve as Founding & Diamond Sponsor of Sixth Annual American Manufacturing Hall of Fame Ceremony

For the sixth consecutive year, blumshapiro, the largest regional business advisory firm based in New England, will serve as the Founding & Diamond Sponsor of the American Manufacturing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on October 10, 2019 at the Trumbull Marriott in Shelton, Connecticut.

The American Manufacturing Hall of Fame (AMHoF) celebrates the innovative history of American manufacturing, raises funds for educational programs and promotes awareness of advanced manufacturing as a critical component of Connecticut’s economy.  Proceeds from the event will benefit Housatonic Community College’s Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

This year the AMHoF will induct Ashcroft Inc., Medtronic PLC, Microboard Processing Inc., Pratt & Whitney and Sonics & Materials Inc.  In addition, Frank Gulluni will receive the AMHoF 2019 Leadership Award.

“As the Founding & Diamond Sponsor of the American Manufacturing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony since 2014, blumshapiro is honored to annually celebrate the innovation and success of Connecticut’s finest manufacturers.  Their passion and dedication has made Connecticut a center of excellence in manufacturing and serves as an inspiration for the next generation workforce.  We congratulate all the honorees on their accomplishments and induction into the American Manufacturing Hall of Fame,” said Andrew Lattimer, managing partner of blum’s Connecticut office.

“These honored companies set the standard for manufacturing excellence in Connecticut with products and services used worldwide.  We applaud their success and thank them for being the standard-bearers for the next generation of manufacturers in our state,” said Janet Prisloe, partner at blumshapiro.

Since the start of the annual ceremony, 25 Connecticut companies have been inducted into the American Manufacturing Hall of Fame.  The ceremony’s beneficiary, the Housatonic Community College Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center, trains students for advanced manufacturing jobs through a rigorous certification program.  In 2018, the Center placed 100% of its certificate students in advanced manufacturing jobs.

Earlier this year, Housatonic Community College and Asnuntuck Community College announced the opening of a second Advanced Manufacturing Training Center at Derby High School in Derby, Connecticut.  Starting this fall, high school students will be able to use the new center to take college-level classes.

Tickets for the AMHoF Induction Ceremony on October 10 are available on Eventbrite.
