Achieve Hartford Receives $100,000 Grant from Aetna a CVS Health company to Keep More Hartford Students in the Talent Pipeline

Intern-in-meeting
Achieve Hartford announced today that Aetna a CVS Health company has awarded a $100,000 grant to be the backbone support of the ALL IN! Coalition for College and Career Readiness.

The coalition is working to get Hartford youth not just into, but all the way through college and post-secondary training and into the workforce. These successes will propel Hartford youth into livelihoods that can sustain them, their children and families – while strengthening the Greater Hartford economy and communities.

Achieve Hartford’s ALL IN! Coalition collaborates with leaders from higher education, businesses, nonprofit organizations and philanthropy to support HPS students and graduates through their post-secondary education. Through several action teams, HPS students and graduates are being given the tools, mentorships and guidance they need to reach their goals.
“We’re working with our partners to increase the number of HPS graduates who receive the education, training and soft skills to fill the jobs Connecticut employers need filled,” says Paul Diego Holzer, Achieve Hartford’s executive director. “We’re grateful to Aetna for their support of our work and of HPS students and graduates. Their commitment to our organization has helped us energize members of the community to organize resources and people in ways that really impact students.”
