Hartford, CT. — GalaxE.Solutions, a pioneer in IT enterprise transformation, is opening a new Innovation Center in the city as it launches “Outsource to Harford” – a program designed to serve as a catalyst for tech transformation and economic revitalization. The announcement was made by Tim Bryan, CEO, GalaxE.Solutions in collaboration with Mayor Luke Bronin and Dr. Mark Boxer, Global CIO of Cigna.
Working with the mayor’s office, Upward Hartford and other business and community leaders, GalaxE is opening its Innovation Center at Upward Hartford on September 1st. GalaxE will create new high tech job opportunities and develop new training programs – all focused on establishing Hartford as an internationally recognized IT hub.
“We believe Hartford will be a leader in the development of digital solutions in the insurance and healthcare industries,” said Tim Bryan, CEO, GalaxE.Solutions. “Outsource to Hartford will position the city as a viable and desirable alternative for next generation IT solutions – taking advantage of Hartford’s strong corporate footprint, outstanding academic institutions and highly skilled and motivated workforce.”
As part of the Outsource to Hartford program, GalaxE will partner with local business, civic, community and nonprofit organizations focused on growth and community revitalization. Similarly, GalaxE plans to develop academic partnerships and introduce curricula to train new IT talent – all designed to enhance the region’s workforce in and around Hartford.
“In order to keep Hartford thriving in a technology-driven economy, its critical to have an ecosystem that supports business innovation,” said Dr. Mark Boxer, Global CIO of Cigna. “We’re very excited that GalaxE decided to plant a flag here in the city. Their new Innovation Center and the jobs it creates will build on Cigna’s commitment to position Hartford as a technology center of expertise and a premiere hub for health care management excellence. GalaxE came to Cigna as a partner through our Express Scripts acquisition and we are pleased they have chosen to expand into this region.”
“I am pleased to welcome GalaxE Solutions to the State of Connecticut. As a leader in the delivery of transformational technology solutions GalaxE will provide many of our existing state based industry leaders in healthcare and financial services the tools to better compete and grow their businesses throughout the U.S. and around the world,” Governor Lamont said.
“GalaxE’s plans for civic engagement in our Capital City is exciting and the State of Connecticut looks forward to working with them to create economic opportunity for the residents of Hartford,” said David Lehman, commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development.
“We are thrilled that GalaxE chose Hartford to establish an Innovation Center as they grow their presence in the United States,” said Mayor Luke Bronin. “GalaxE is a leader in the information technology field and this is another signal that Hartford can become a destination for top tech talent. We have worked hard with many partners to make Hartford a budding home for innovators in our core industries, and GalaxE’s arrival is another big step forward. It’s a perfect complement to the growing scene of startups in insurance, advanced manufacturing, and soon digital health. This would not have been possible without the support of Cigna, a GalaxE client, and a strong partner for Hartford’s growth. We are very grateful to the corporate leadership of Cigna and to Tim Bryan and the team at GalaxE, and we look forward to working with GalaxE as they establish themselves in Hartford.”
