maxresdefault (1)

In a press release from the Office of Governor Ned Lamont, it has been announced that $13 million is being awarded to 13 municipalities in Connecticut to provide housing infrastructure upgrades.

The Town of Enfield was among the recipients, awarded $175,000 towards the Green Valley Village/Laurel Park Project that will involve electrical upgrades of breaker panels and meter boxes.

Nelson Tereso, Director of Community and Economic Development, applied for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Small Cities program, which is administered by DOH with funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The Town of Enfield was eligible because of our focus on improving neighborhoods, eliminating blight, and attracting economic development.  The awarded grant money is essential support towards modernizing and rehabilitating housing for low and moderate-income individuals.
